Why believe?

Many times people wonder why people believe in Christianity. Clearly Christians throughout the their history have made gross mistakes. They have not thought clearly, spoke in love, or acted with compassion. There has been both torture and war justified by Christians with religious language. So why would someone believe in Christianity as their world view?

The truth of Christianity is not found in Christians. Truth for Christianity is found in Jesus. It all boils down to this one man. Either when one looks at the evidence of his life, teaching, and mission we conclude that He is the Messiah and Lord of life or we condlude he is a liar and/or lunitic. It all comes down to this one solitary life. If he is true the the Christian world view is true and if he is false then there is no answer here to the problems of life.

What would be a way to research the person of Jesus? How could one come to an objective and true understanding of who Jesus really was and perhaps who He is? Why not journal about ideas about how a person who really wanted the truth could objectively and fairly look into Jesus.
